Inspirational Edge

For Daughter Michelle - birthday - 9 Jan 03
An observation of the great con in human endeavour. Arthur C. Clark(e) was guest speaker at the 1973 IBM 100% Club awards convention in Noumea (I had earned my place). In typical fashion, he painted a vision for year 2000 where human productivity gains (which we were facilitating) would have created a class of people paid not to work. He was quite right, but the irony is in the basis upon which wealth creation and accumulation, coupled with usury, has fed the monsters of consumerism and greed in the distribution of these elusive gains.
