Janine and Cigars at Casa del Oro

An Elbow Room Meeting

Should I believe my eyes
I am entranced.
Elegance and grace
Have come to keep me company,
Not lost the kindly flattery
And soon surpassed by honest, open
Listening and caring.
This is not right.
Temptation to indulgence in
Selish need is not sharing.
New showers of sensitivity
Surround my thawing heart.
How softly my anxious ways
Melt in this company.
Sweet inspiration
To believe in.
Oh, so soft the touch.
And all competing feelings
Ordered to a stolen kiss.
Lovely Janine.

Cigars at Casa del Oro - Cup Time

She threw a party on Tuesday at the Casa del Oro
Where her club and me smoked cigars
Sampled old Malt, drank red wine and got nicely
Being erotically crude with the cute play things
We puffed out chests with the Russian belle
Mark's teenager and a couple of other Jaffa types
With Vince and Mark's money keeper mostly
Being the satirical poet in residence she needed
For national prominence predicating a pissed performance
Of unmemorable doggerel cushioned by a cuddly hostess
Who proclaimed me agedly untouchable
While her eyes penetrated my soul which had run for cover
Deluded in unselfish love of another new mother
Of all imaginations.
