Check Your Habits, Boy.
Think not your God a fool for giving what
you begged him for but could not see
when right before your very eyes.
And oft the object of desire needs be
prepared and more a timely gesture
proffered for all to enjoy the gift.
And oft what is asked in haste is
delivered in such condition that
necessitates the time to appreciate.
So be keen and kind in asking God
for favours expedient and more than all
Be strong and patient that your faith in him
Be not compromised with what you get.
On Drink
Woe betide the evil bride
That drink may make of men.
But think it worse to die of thirst
In misery for want of female company.
And men with drink can humble get,
new humour and ambition show
and say the words that lassie's like
without considering any sense of pride.
But pride of sense and pride of worth
better temper them to moderation
that do imbibe for inspiration
with social skills for female admiration.
An Open Mind
An open mind is ripe for inspiration,
of itself not innate. But from whence
it comes is the mystery men will never get
to crack, for in God's wisdom
is too precious to abuse.
Not So Bad as it Could Be
Your belly says it all!
The telly has your balls.
Your face a bloody roadmap
