Love Is Unselfish, Is Unconditional - Part V
Did I see the Jewel in you
"A night without amour" there
Beckoning me to fill an
Undeserving hollow feeling
Reserved for another and
Hoping you would feel
The fit of me as we
Measured up knowingly
That night you showed me myself
And "My Gal" who she would be,
You, when shackles of duty
Slip their bonding ever so
Slightly but forever in reality
Merging two souls, new souls,
Desperately needing each other
To be free to roam and enlightened
World of discovery however
Remotely entwined in the realm
Behind the mind we can not
Fight nor rationalise out of sight
With work consuming love
And family an all familiar yearning.
You, yes, Unselfishly giving,
Rewarding no-one.
Come inside me my darling.
Be with me.
On My Birthday - 29/11/2001
A wise man says:
Know this in making this decision
To take another's is not forgiven
She must come of her own free will
See the need in you she will fulfil
Cultivate the strength she sees
And believes in you to meet her needs
To harbour any expectations
The curse to future good relations
Open, honest talk and action?
But first of all the sexual attraction.
Body language says it all
Preened to lay her and be bold
Romantics are for playing with
But real loving is no myth
Get her in the family way.
She'll come to you and will stay.
My Pledge:
My pledge to you my chosen one
I'll love you till my days are done.
God willing faithful loins will yield
Our own offspring, a family shield
Our fathers had their lives cut short
This opportunity their last resort.
While daughters are their father's gems
Your destiny is brilliant sons
Leaders, actors, men of men
A heritage of Kings unseen.
And when our lives come to an end
Choice older sisters tend to them
But that's not now. We've just begun.
Cleared all the baggage of round one.
Good for thirty odd more years
I"ve seen off all those earthly fears
You've done your duty by other men
And they have come to understand
The courage you bring to this decision
Is the faith you hold for the next generation
Our hearts, our souls, our inner passions
Are in God's hands and our salvation.
Is it another Sunday Night, when you look to the week ahead and what intrigues you'll dream in bed? Will you miss my crude intrusions, my feasting on my own delusions!
Or will you revel in my "Coventry"?
Your protection from the devil in me
Hoping that with time the cure
Will see me off and you secure.
Me not believing in your kind instruction
That working on the relationship
Was salvation for your partnership.
Face the fact you made a blue
And then you'll find the me in you.
My MUM rang
My mother "MUM"
She must have read my mind
To impersonate you she did
Giving all her love for me
Through you is understood
She to love her boy
For you did step aside
And has known all along
It's you I have inside.
She saw you in CAN CAN
Knew why it was I glowed
Talked to you at end
My love for you it showed
She would not have me wreck
What you have chosen for bliss
But that is where we differ
Because there is no other miss
Now she understands and
Sees you as her daughter
The goings on inside me
And that patience is my tutor
Resolution
You knew the way it had to be
The kindest way for you and me
Motherhood for you now dawning
Honest, open, vows rewarding.
My love for you is unconditional
Your family now, all three of you
Replace my often selfish yearning
Now my heart and soul has three.
And as your baby grows inside you
Your new radiance is shining through
New perceptions, new horizons
Mother Nature's preparations.
Your inspiration is my treasure
You now a woman of full measure
I trust you'll find I'm there for you
What e'er you and your family do
My vows for you will get no airing
My undiscovered words archiving
Your happiness even more deserving
In your belief and in your choosing.
My pencilled words have had their day
Reality has had her say
I have closed my mind to maybe.
God bless you and he and Baby
Time Passes
Would I change my mind, could I
Could I change my mind, would I
Woven in embroidery
In perpetuity
Strung and hung
Most naturally
Not unkindly
Just blindly
Taking in
All and sundry
My place upon the wall
Tortured not to fall
Walking hand in hand
We're going to a ball
Do you feel the rhythm stir?
Your hand in mine moves
Tenderly gripping, warm
And dawn becomes a burning sun
One kiss all consuming
Traps millions fuming
My lips their exhuming
Your heart my tending.
